Der Schwarzstielige Streifenfarn (Asplenium adiantum-nigrum, Aspleniaceae) in Westfalen
Beschreibung
The black spleenwort (Asplenium adiantum-nigrum) is one of the fern species for which both the number of occurrences as well as the population size have increased significantly in the recent past. This phenomenon has also been observed in Westphalia and sparked a comprehensive investigation including evaluation of literature and herbaria, but also studies to re-evaluate the populations in the field. The results are presented in a detailed listing, which contains geographic data, reports on the earliest records and other relevant publications, summary of the field studies, and references to herbarium specimens discovered. This list comprises a total of 47 locations; in two cases, sub-populations, somewhat separated from each other, are distinguished. Dubious or demonstrably false published information is also listed, including comments. An appendix to this work shows photos of plants of existing populations, and of a few extinct populations, as well as of herbarium specimens.
